03 Aug OptimizePress Review, WP Page Builder
OptimizePress is a page builder plug-in for WordPress. It uses a drag and drop interface to easily create landing pages and sales funnels, for eCommerce and marketing websites. Pricing starts at $99 with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
The OptimizePress plug-in gives you a ton of creative options. Create a landing page, an opt-in, a membership link, or add your drip feed content to the membership tiers. It may sound complicated but once you get the hang of it, OptimizePress is very easy to use.
You can use the plugin to create sales pages that look great and convert. Or you can create entire membership sites. These sites can have opt-in pages, paywalls, drip-fed content, payment integrations, and all that good stuff. One of the neat things about this plugin is that it can be as much, or as little as you need it to be. It’s a great, easy-to-use tool for new Entrepreneurs.
Is OptimizePress still relevant?
OptimizePress has been around for over six years now. The latest update to 3.0 has brought some great new features. Is this plugin still worth the cost? Have other WordPress plugins overtaken it? Will it deliver the features you’re looking for?
In reality, when you’re creating landing pages, you’re typically paying good money to send traffic to sales-optimized pages. This means, that you need to have the absolute highest conversion rate possible if you want to get a good ROI from your ad spend.
The crux is that different niches require different styles of sales pages, with different features.
You can use layouts and templates from a standard page builder such as Elementor, or BeaverBuilder. But OptimizePress is dedicated to creating specialized sales pages. This specialization is a much better investment, especially if this is a core focus of your marketing spend.

Pros and Cons
There are pros and cons to OptimizePress as there are with any product. How compelling or distracting they are depends entirely on what you want to achieve with the plug-in.
Pros
Some of the positive aspects of OptimizePress include:
- Price – It is one of the cheapest sales pages page builders around with so many features. Also, nothing comes close in terms of number of features, quality of design or templates.
- Templates – The free templates are excellent and there are lots of them. The premium templates are also very good. Each design is worthy of any top tier website and work seamlessly.
- Ease of use – If you’re familiar with WordPress, you can be up and running in minutes and publishing in under an hour. As you become familiar with how it all works, that time to live shrinks drastically.
Cons
- Falling behind the competition – I like OptimizePress, I really do but the competition seems to be catching up and perhaps even overtaking it. The plugin works with the most recent version of WordPress so is kept up to date, but it doesn’t always feel that way.
- Support is apparently slow – While I have been lucky enough to not need live support, there are comments around that response is slow. Additionally, fault tickets can take a while to be acknowledged and longer to be fixed and it seems developer support and general customer service is limited.
OptimizePress Pricing
Pricing is a real strength of OptimizePress. There are three pricing tiers for OptimizePress, Core, Publisher, and Pro. Each builds on the other while increasing in price. It’s a one-time fee that includes the ability to create unlimited pages and one year of updates and support.
Core
The Core Optimize Press plugin is $99/year and includes:
- Unlimited pages
- Up to three unique websites
- Unlimited leads
- The OptimizeMember plugin as part of the price
- 1 year of support and updates
Core is aimed at individuals or entrepreneurs with up to three websites. With some membership plugins, the ability to drip feed content often requires an upgrade or purchasing a more expensive version. OptimizePress includes it in the core version which is good to see.
Publisher
The Publisher version of Optimize Press is $149/year and includes:
- Unlimited pages
- Up to ten unique websites
- Unlimited leads
- The OptimizeMember plugin as part of the price
- 1 year of priority support and updates
- A/B split testing tool
Publisher is aimed at marketers or companies that manage multiple websites and want slightly more advanced page designs. Moreover, the inclusion of testing tools is invaluable to marketers so it’s nice to see it included.
Pro
Pro is the top tier and costs $199/year. It includes:
- Unlimited pages
- Up to 30 unique websites
- Unlimited leads
- The OptimizeMember plugin
- 1 year of first in line support and updates
- A/B split testing tool
The website does not expand on what else you get for your extra $100 except the ability to jump the queue if you have an issue or the ability to use it on an extra 20 websites.
Bottom Line
Now to the question you’ve been waiting for me to ask (and answer). Should you buy OptimizePress?
The plugin has a very strong marketing focus and many of its core functions revolve around the needs of marketers. If you are a marketer or want to up your marketing game, OptimizePress delivers.
OptimizePress isn’t the newest, it isn’t the most powerful and it isn’t the most attractive on the back end. But in terms of performance, the user experience, and the features it offers, it is a great product. And finally, it offers great value with a pricing plan starting at just $99 a year.
