22 Feb Are You Ready to be an Entrepreneur?
Maybe the better question is WHO is an Entrepreneur? I believe the answer is that we all are born with the Entrepreneur spirit. We have that spirit in us until our Entrepreneurial spirit is broken by our misguided parents. They indoctrinate us with the Employee mindset from our youngest days. Don’t get me wrong, I love my parents and I had a great childhood, but my parents were the true definition of the Employee Mindset. They both had advanced college degrees and spent their lives as employees, no Entrepreneurial spirit allowed in our house!
The Old American Dream – is it Still a Reality?
Over the years American Dream was bastardized into the Employee mindset. We could have the American Dream, but ONLY if we abide by the Employee Mindset. Do you know the Employee Mindset? Work a thankless job, be undervalued, trade all your time for money, miss out on family time, have no control over your work/life balance, and hope that your employer gives you a raise every once in a while.
Now comes the old American dream; go to college, get a good job, get married, get the nice house in the suburbs, have children, work hard, and retire with a fat pension. But is that American Dream even still a reality? In this time of downsizing, job security is gone. Pensions haven’t been around for years, now YOU have to fund your own retirement & 401K. Worse yet, if you can’t put money into a 401K, you have to ask yourself, will you have to work until you are 80? The old American Dream, earned by way of the Employee Mindset is dead, hallelujah, it’s certainly about time.
Let’s talk about the NEW American Dream
So where do we go from here if the old American Dream is dead? We look forward to The New American Dream. The New American Dream is NOT connected in any way to the Employee Mindset. The New American Dream IS connected 100% to your Entrepreneurial Spirit. The dictionary defines an Entrepreneur as “a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.” The best part of The New American Dream is that you can be an Entrepreneur without taking on “greater than normal” financial risks. You can start an online business for under $100!
Living the New American Dream as you the Entrepreneur, allows you to work your passion. They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. So now, with The New American Dream, you are your own boss, you own your own business, and your business is your passion – can life get any better? First off I would like to say wonderful blog! I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if

I have had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my
